Exciting times in London. Spring is full of portfolio tastings and other events. One on my favourite so far is Raw Fair. This year 15-16 of May and yet in the same Old Trumans Brewery!
You can find easily list represented producers on homepage – http://www.rawfair.com/2016/artisans
Here’s what I really look forward seeing and tasting this year:
Weingut Hummel – Hungary is old Europe’s undiscovered pear. Forget about Tokaji! Lot of people don’t know the hugh potential their wines. They have indigenous varieties, unique climate and own wine making history!
Le Clos de la Meslier – one of my favourite Vouvray producers of all time. Peter Hahn is the man! His Chenin Blanc’s are soo elegant, yet full of vibrant energy and unforgettable. Hope to find and taste some new vintages. Cant wait!
Recaredo – if there’s anything that could compete with Champagne in my eyes, its Recaredo! A small very terroir influenced Cava producer. Their unique single vineyard Cava Turo d’en Mota is considered one of the best ones! Min aging 10 years in the bottle!!
Meinklang – Burgenlands biodynamic producer. Also started to produce beer from ancient grain of the old varieties called Einkorn and Emmer wheat.
It will be another great opportunity to taste Gutt Oggau, Foradori, Birgit Braunstein, Tenuta di Valgiano again ..since I’m not working with those wines daily bases anymore.
Save the date 15-16 of May and experience biodynamic wine world!
